Jim McNamara, President & CEO

Jim McNamara, President & CEO

8 Penny Labs is led by James McNamara. Jim brings more than 25 years of experience managing technology and operations teams across the professional services, software, consulting, and financial services industries.

A puzzle-solver at heart, Jim spent his career tackling complex operational challenges and devising the most direct paths to solutions for his clients. The idea for 8 Penny Labs was born from a desire to level the competitive landscape for small and midsize businesses as he observed peers struggling to keep pace with the global digital economy.

Prior to founding 8 Penny Labs, Jim was Chief Operating Officer of The Sente Group, an award-winning software company in the enterprise asset management space. During his tenure, he led the development and commercialization of Sente’s software capabilities and implementation methodologies.

Previously Jim held executive roles at International Data Corporation, where he led global web channel operations and technology development efforts and established the organization’s first pan-EMEA IT infrastructure. He earned an MBA from McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University and a BA in literature from Stonehill College. Jim also pursues ongoing studies in leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation through The Aji Advantage, a privately held educational institution based in Santa Clara, CA.

Stacey McNamara, Vice President of Administration

Stacey McNamara, Vice President of Administration

Stacey McNamara is Vice President of Administration for 8 Penny Labs. In this capacity, she oversees accounting, finance, and human resources. She also manages and facilitates 8 Penny’s external marketing and business development resources and related activities.

Throughout her extensive career, Stacey has sought out roles that play to her strong interpersonal skills and community service ethos. She built and ran two daycare businesses over an 11-year period, where she was responsible for early childhood development as well as all business operations. She also served as President of The Norwood Daycare Association, a trade association supporting childcare communities.

Additionally, Stacey held various roles in the healthcare field, including Marketing and Community Outreach Director for Westwood Family Chiropractic in Boston, MA; Office Manager and Patient Advocate for Apex Physical Therapy in Suwanee, GA; and Activities Director at an Atlanta-based senior living community where she created and launched a groundbreaking program for seniors living with dementia.

Outside the office, Stacey enjoys theater arts, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family – particularly her three grandchildren.

Specializing in customer success strategies and best practices, Dawn delivers exceptional technical and product support, ensuring swift resolution of client escalations and sustained client satisfaction. Known for excelling under tight deadlines, Dawn ensures that projects align seamlessly with evolving business and technology landscapes, particularly in the context of digital transformation.

Dawn excels in crafting robust, innovative solutions that drive customer success, enhance operational efficiency, and facilitate digital transformation. Recognized by employers for identifying new business opportunities, optimizing technical processes, and achieving corporate objectives, Dawn continues to deliver outstanding results in every endeavor.

Previously, Dawn held senior customer success and project management roles at International Data Corporation, where she led interactive digital platform development efforts, spearheaded digital transformation initiatives, and drove business workflow process improvement and automation. Dawn holds a BA in Business Management from Boston College and is a certified PMP from the Project Management Institute, as well as a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance.
